Frequently Asked Questions
Are the leggings safe for pregnancy?
Yes! All our materials are certified Standard 100 by OEK-TEX, meaning they are perfectly safe for the body. The compression is designed to support and not squeeze - with more than enough stretch to accomodate your growing body safely.
Which length should I choose for my height?
If you are 165 cm or less we recommend to choose the 7/8 length for a full length look.
What is the material like?
We use a high density stretchy fabric that feels smooth to touch and soft on the skin with a matte finish.
Do they get a lot of fluff and hairs stuck on them?
No! We spent 12 gruelling months designing these leggings and making sure they stayed soft and smooth and clean was not negotiable!

Material - Supaflex stretch & compression
The emama leggings are made to compress, stretch and grow during early and late pregnancy. This means that our leggings are designed to change with you as your body changes and expands as your bump gets bigger. With post pregnancy also in mind the emama leggings will also support your recovery as our shape retention fabric will keep their shape ensuring a comfortable fit without the added pressure from the mid-section allowing the leggings to be the perfect transition piece as you take your time getting back into your regular leggings.
Maternity leggings and C-section recovery
We use something called flat lock stitching which is a special way to sew so that there is no irritation on your skin. We have also placed our unique belly section so that it will sit higher than a C-section scar so it will not irritate during your recovery.
You can also wear the waistband up high for belly coverage while breastfeeding, or roll the band down over your hips.

The fabric is soft and stretchy. The colour is a grey blue and not see-through. I normally wear a 12 in regular gym pants and ordered size M which is a size bigger than suggested by the size chart. There are slightly too big in the crutch but I’m not sure if these will be big enough for third trimester. I’m 159cm tall and the 7/8th length is perfect for full length for me. I deducted a star for the top of the pants leaving a red mark on my belly after wearing them around the house all afternoon. I would buy these again but probably only use them for exercising
These really are incredibly comfortable and look great on. The twilight colour is lovely too. Size chart was accurate for choosing size. I’m short so the 7/8 style is full length on me which is perfect.
I ordered an S based on other reviews, the size guide hip measurements and my prepregnancy size (I'm usually a 6, sometimes 8). It felt nicely snug around the hips and legs but it was too restrictive around my 3rd trimester bump and hurt after a short time. I think this would work better for 2nd trimester and maybe postnally? But I'm returning for an M to see if it fits me better.

The tights are buttery soft, so comfortable to touch and a gorgeous colour! But they were sagging at the crotch, so I've returned them and sized-up to a M in the hope they'll fit better. I'm usually a size 10/M, but going on the sizing chart measurements, I was apparently an S. Really hoping the M fit better because I want to love these tights!
