Returns Policy

We make activewear to be worn and loved, not shipped back and forth. To keep delivery fast, operations simple, and waste low, Emamaco operates on a sustainable returns policy.
Full Price items: First Purchase Store Credit
Bought an item and its not the right size? We won't ask you to return your items - thats wasteful, instead we will give you store credit for the purchase price for 1 product. We can do this once per customer. We just ask that you donate or pass on the item that wasn't right for you.
Sale Items: No returns for change of mind
We do not accept returns, exchanges, refunds, or store credit for change of mind. This includes (but isn’t limited to) ordering the wrong size, preference changes, “it doesn’t suit me”, or buying multiples to try on at home. This includes items purchased using a discount code, items on sale, and any items purchased for less than the listed full price.
Why we’re doing this
Returns aren’t just a customer service feature. They create a large global footprint through extra transport and packaging. UNCTAD has cited estimates that e-commerce returns in the United States alone can drive around 24 million tonnes of CO₂ (from transport and packaging) in a year. For scale, the US EPA estimates a typical passenger vehicle emits about 4.6 tonnes of CO₂ per year—so 24 million tonnes is in the order of ~5.2 million cars’ annual emissions. Source: US EPA
Packaging is part of the problem too. UN-linked sources commonly cite around 5 trillion plastic bags used globally each year. Many brands build “free returns” into the cost of goods and ship products twice. We’d rather keep the focus on thoughtful purchasing, clear fit guidance, and less waste overall.

Faulty items, damaged in transit, or order errors
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this policy.
- Faulty or damaged items: If you believe an item has a manufacturing fault or arrived damaged, email support@emamaco.com as soon as possible with your order number, a description, and clear photos. We’ll assess and resolve in line with ACL.
- Wrong item sent / missing item: Contact us promptly and we’ll fix it.
Underwear and hygiene
For hygiene reasons, underwear is not eligible for change-of-mind returns.
Cancel or amend orders
Once an order is placed it moves into processing quickly. For this reason we are unable to cancel or amend orders once they are placed.
Grandfathering for orders placed before 28 February 2026
If your order was placed before 28 February 2026, you remain eligible for store credit for change of mind under the original returns rules below.
Original returns rules (store credit only for pre-28 Feb 2026 orders)
- Submit your return request within 10 days of receiving your order.
- Return items must be unworn, unwashed, unsoiled and in original condition.
- All original tags must remain attached and Emamaco branded bag undamaged (where applicable).
- Items must be returned within 30 days of receiving them.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer and is not reimbursed.
- Underwear is not eligible for change-of-mind returns for hygiene reasons.
- Final sale items are not eligible.
